BBC Iplayer sign-in code

When I try to sign in to the BBC iplayer app on my Sky Q box it will not generate a code or QR code for the iplayer sign-in site. It just sits with a spinning circle.

I have tried the following with no success:

Reset by holding power button

Reset by disconnecting power

All 3 resets in the hidden settings menu

App refresh from the hidden menu

Initially I got the reply I was expecting - get in touch with Sky, it's their problem.

To be fair, after I replied to that message they have asked for more info to help investigate the problem. I'll update if I get any further.

I am experiencing the same problem with the sign in code

BBC IPLayer team have not been able to resolve it yet

Has anyone found the solutIon?

The problem resolved itself when I upgraded my router from the small mobile broadband router supplied by EE to a larger 4g router from TP-Link.

Thank you for your reply. I have just switched to a 4G EE mobile router. But the tv was still connected to BT Broadband when this happened...
