Until recently my regional programmes have been in HD on Channel 101 as per the instructions from Sky regarding the BBC upgrade. Unfortunately in the last few days on 101 I have received the message you need to upgrade to HD. As a Sky Q customer for over 3 years this should not have been an issue or even affected me. I contacted the Sky Help team via twitter sending all the information across they requested. They stated its a BBC issue not Sky. Well surely it is a Sky problem as, I do not get any regional programme on 101, just the upgrade message and have to select 801 for my regional programme.
Is anyone else experiencing this issue and if so how has was it resolved?

Would be nice if anyone has an answer for this.
@BadForGood @dangermouse23338 Have you tried restarting your Sky Q by turning the power off at the wall?

I must admit I never considered turing the box off and on again to fix this type of problem.
But I had nothing to lose by trying it so I gave it a go and would you believe, it sorted the problem.
So thank you very much for your help invisiblename, I really appreciate it.

Strangely, this is most common fix for this issue, glad you're sorted. Can you mark my response as the answer to help others?

Thank you so much, it worked. Its very poor that the Sky Help Team did not know this simple solution. Thank you once again.

I am having the same issue! We cannot record from BBC 1 HD or watch it on Catch up as we have that upgrade banner throughout the whole programme!
We have a Sky Q box, and have had HD for years!!
Sort it out Sky, please!

That's on 101 is it?
The banner isn't a Sky thing. You are watching and recording BBC1 SD which has that banner embedded now at broadcast.
Did you try the fix marked as the Answer in this thread?
