BBC Three in Ireland - Reply from BBC

Hi all.

I asked the BBC about BBC Three launching in Ireland.

They said:
"At this time, no official deal has been made between the BBC and Irish broadcasters but it is possible some deal will be made in the coming weeks to bring BBC Three to Irish TV."

So, as it stands right now, BBC Three will not be added to any Irish provider for the forseeable future.

Presumably it would be available on a Freesat receiver, and perhaps accessible as a manually tuned additional channel on Q?

I think the BBC itself, Sky Ireland and the BAI would all have to be in agreement for BBC3 to get a Sky EPG slot in the Republic: as I noted in that other thread, this is the first time a BBC channel has faced such an issue since Brexit, which may be a complicating factor for both regulation and content licensing.

@Alan+B+Ireland

If you wanted to manually tune, you should find it on these transponders;
