Are they pulling my leg ?

I have just spoken with a guy at Sky to try and get on a contract - I am paying £155.49 per month at the moment.  He quoted me £147.48 - which for a 30 year plus subscriber I thought was not particularly generous.  He then warned me that prices were going to go up by £20 in July / August.  That doesn't seem correct = any views.

Many reports of here that large discounts are hard to come by...

I always found cancelling extracted the best offers - but be prepared to leave.

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own even if you don't like the answers

@WC68

Prices don't go up in July/August. The annual price increase for UK customers is in April which if you've been a customer for 30 years you already know.

Edit: did you call Sky or was this an incoming call? In other words potentially a scam.

If that's just for TV and doesn't include broadband then rather than being pulled I think your leg has been ripped from its socket and thrown down a well. That's an obscene amount of money.

The best deals always come if you actually cancel completely. On the day your service switches off, contact the Win Back team - they have access to the cheapest deals.

As others have stated though, it's harder to get deals on Sky Q as the push towards Stream & Glass continues.
