Apple TV promotion

I've just signed up to Apple TV with the 3 month offer.  I got a message saying 7 day free trial, 3 months free then £8.99 per month.  Great.  

Went into the Apple TV app and can't watch anything without clicking on the free 7 day trial, then £8.99 a month.  

Anyone else had this?  Do you just accept anyway but they go with your account details or shall I just scrap it?  Apple customer service is absolute rubbish by the way.
