Apple TV VIP Offer

Okay. Signed up via My Sky. Apple account created, billing details added (acknowledged in my banking app. as £0.00) - and yet when I try to watch something it only shows 7 DAYS free, then £8.99. To top it all, settings shows I have "no subscriptions" in spite of verifying one in my banking app! What's the problem?

Hi @SecondSkin when you redeem the offer it doesn't automatically log you in on the Sky Q box 

Apologies but have you logged in using your Apple id via the AppleTV app on your Sky Q box

Hi @best+of+the+best . Thanks for responding. Yes, I do and I then get the QR and numeric codes - but when I click on the link the QR provides, I get straight into my Apple account with no field available for the numeric code. It tells me my TV (generic text to include Sky Q box too?) will refresh. Which it does but only returning me to the original problem.

Fair comment @SecondSkin I'm already logged into my Appletv app via the Sky Q box so to get a QR code I have to select Manage Subscriptions using my phones camera I scan the QR code as I don't trust the QR apps you get from play store.

I enter my Apple id email and password then the 2FA code( two factor authentication) which is sent to my mobile phone once my tv refreshes I can see when my subscription renews.

Did you set up the 2FA (two factor authentication by any chance

Only thing I can suggest is signing out then signing back in again

If you scan the QR code then select the link when you have entered your 2FA code it will ask you Trust this Browser select not now as it won't generate a code for you next time you need to access your Apple account

Hi. That sounds like something I haven't done (or in that way, at least). But you've given me something new to try and I'm grateful for that. Will let you know how I get on once I have a chance to try.
