Adverts during box sets

Why do I get adverts whilst watching boxsets only on my sky mini box.

The adverts are not present on my sky q box but they are on the sky q mini box watching the same episode of a programme.

I pay for the boxsets so why do I have adverts.

Why would resolution make a difference? Mini box not the same resolution as main box so it isn't possible to watch on bothnin same resolution.

Episode 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9.

Hi @Ian285

The episodes in UHD are from On Demand where there will be no Adverts..

Episodes on minis would be from HD Carch up which is from the transmitted programs which have Adverts..

If you watch the HD programs on your main q box you will see they have adverts same as on the minis.

Hi @Ian285

If you are watching the BoxSets on the same resolution then there should be no difference.

If you think there is please give the exact details of content series and episodes and I will check it here

You pay for all of Sky and it's got tons of adverts. They don't do an "ad free tier"

Except the UHD downloads.

And not during movies.

Re: Adverts during box sets

Thanks for that, as I pay for the addition of boxsets I wouldnt expect it to ahve adverts at any resolution.

This is quite poor from Sky, I wanted UHD on the 2nd box but was unable to get it, and now this is an extra annoyance.

Hi @Ian285   Is there any chance that you can give us the reference in the terms and conditions that Boxsets are supposed to be ad free?

Are you on a legacy package?  As boxsets is 'free' with Signature.

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own even if you don't like the answers

Sky Q would be the wrong platform for that, as Mini boxes have never been capable of UHD.  It's a platform now approaching a decade in age, and has effectively been superceded by Sky Stream.

Sky Cinema is an additional paid service. So is Sky Sports. They both have plenty of ads. I'm confused why you think Boxsets wouldn't have them. The fact UHD downloads don't is probably down to some technical limitation which I am personally quite pleased about.
