Ability to use Sky Q - or any streaming from Sky!
I am the proud owner of a B & O tv, vintage 2006.
As the BBC are turning off analogue signals I need the above to contine use of the tv that has been faultless since it was bought and I am reluctant to part with.
However, as it only has two scart sockets none of the above can be connected. I have tried the obvious, scart to hdmi converter, but to no avail.
Despite numerous calls to Sky, and seven engineer visits, I am no further forward after many frustrating months.
Is there a boffin out there that can make me a very happy user by suggesting a fix please?
Many thanks in advance.

Realistically you'll have to buy a new TV. You're not going to get anywhere using SCART.

I'm amazed they've persisted to that extent: it's really not in the remit of Sky to support a television dating from a decade before Q was released which relies on an interface designed in the 1970s.
I'd imagine you could find a Freeview or Freesat receiver with SCART output for a few pounds on eBay, although those will be long outside any technical support: a Sky+ HD box with SCART should also function for Freesat reception (although not with a Q LNB)

@alnjUnfortunately some HDMI to SCART converters work some don't. Make sure you get a HDMI to SCART and not SCART to HDMI as they are not bidirectional.
If your TV has RCA connectors (three round sockets usually coloured red, white and yellow) you could try a HDMI to RCA converter, some people have had success with these.
Both converters are quite cheap but ultimately I am afraid you will need a new TV.
Also unless your TV is HD ready and it is unlikely to be you will only be able to use SD resolution, so not very good quality picture.
Good Luck.

Re: Ability to use Sky Q - or any streaming from Sky!
Sky Q playing a 4k HDR image has approx 4000% the picture detail information being transferred than SCART can handle. B&O made some lovely TVs but it's probably time to upgrade.
Have you tried anything like

I believe the 'HD Ready' specification required at least one HDMI port, and in 2006 that would be HDMI 1.2 at best (possibly usable with a Q Mini box, although it would also need to support HDCP 1.4 which is marginal for sets of that date)

Although it could be used with a mini using an AV mini plug lead into a phono to Scart adapter (not requiring an HDMI connection)
I am guessing you are trying to use with a main box rather than in a second room via a mini though @alnj

Digital switchover was completed a decade ago: presumably you mean the end of BBC television service broadcast digitally in Standard Definition resolution?

Any coverage of BBC would be good tbh!
Thanks for the info anyway.
