2 mini boxes won't connect to main box

We have a 2nd mini box in our extension but the main box isn't strong enough to allow us to watch the TV in there. How can I get an upgrade on my main box. Ive been a customer for years

@Jue5 If you press the home button scroll to settings and then go into system info if your hardware version is 32C then it will be the older 1TB non UHD box

Hi @Jue5

Afraid there is no stronger main box.

Sky do have a WiFi booster for Q which is located midway between the main Q box (or the first mini if nearer) and the mini in your extension.  Depending on the distance and obstacles involved there is no guarantee of WiFi connection.

You can also connect the problem mini by Ethernet to the main Q box if this is practical.

Re: 2 mini boxes won't connect to main box

They offered us s bigger box i think it was the memory size but wanted about £90 for it. Think they said a terrabyte of memory. If they dont do it anymore. I might as well rtirn the second mini box that I'm paying monthly for lol .

There used to be a facility to chat with sky staff online which I found easier than speaking over the phone but cant find that option either 😪

Thanks for your help 👍

Re: 2 mini boxes won't connect to main box

Read a few articles about rebooting a few times etc. And the one in the extension works now but won't let you have all 3 boxes working at once. Not enough memory .

@Jue5 You can have a maximum of 4 mini boxes loaned to you by Sky.

All 2TB boxes and the UHD/HDR 1TB permit watching on two mini boxes and the main box at 1 time. You may also be able to use a 3rd mini box at the same time if you’re using it for one of the apps such as Netflix.
The older 1TB non UHD box only allows you to watch on 1 mini box as well as the main box .
