10m 4K HDMI Cable
Hi,
We have purchased a 8K fiber optic hdmi cable 10m,hdmi 2.1 cable 48Gbps Ultra High Speed and Channeled it into the wall ( stupidly we did not check it first!). The cable works fine for Apple TV but will not work with the SKY Q box. Is this HDMI lead incompatible with the Sky Q box?

No reason why it shouldn't work really. If anything it's over-specified for Sky Q which is relatively old technology now.
Make sure you have the direction correct as fibre optic HDMI cables are directional and can only be fitted one way.

Re: 10m 4K HDMI Cable
I managed to get it working by changing the resolution to 1080p. Very relieved as now don't have to channel the wall out again!

Re: 10m 4K HDMI Cable
As you've discovered, a basic rule is
a) test first
and
b) where possible install in-duct with brush plates rather than plastered-in, particularly as plaster itself may degrade the cable sheath by chemical action.
