We've made it even easier to spot night-time visitors by improving the Night Vision feature on our Video Doorbell.

What does this mean? We have made two updates which give you higher quality and more reliable image from your Video Doorbell. 

 

      1. Clearer HD image: Night Vision mode now delivers even clearer images by reducing any bright white

          glare that could wash out your image. This gives you a sharper and clearer view, even in low-light

          conditions. 

 

      2. More Reliable: The update makes sure that the Night Vision filter works smoothly, preventing any

          problems that could previously cause a pink screen. The improvement means a more consistent

          and reliable night vision experience. 

 

 

Does this update affect me?

Make sure that your Video Doorbell is updated with the latest firmware by going to your Sky Protect app > Video Doorbell > Settings (Cog icon) > Technical Information > Device Updates > Update Video Doorbell (if available). 

 

 

Never miss a ding dong

 

We've upgraded your doorbell to make sure you always know who's stopped by.

What does this mean? We've made two important updates: Your doorbell is now more reliable when pressed so you always know who's stopped by, and your Chime alerts you faster, so you can respond more quickly. 

 

      1. More reliable: This update prevents any missed doorbell presses, so you can be sure that if your                    doorbell is pressed, you'll be notified. 

      2. Faster alerts: This update also makes the ding dong happen twice as fast by reducing the 

          response time between someone pressing your doorbell and the time it takes for your Chime to

          respond to you. 

 

 

How do I see the update? 

Make sure your Video Doorbell is updated with the latest firmware bu going to your Sky Protect app > Video Doorbell > Settings (Cog icon) > Technical Information > Device updates > Update Video Doorbell (if available). 

 

 

You're in control with custom clip settings

 

You can now tailor your Video Doorbell's recording settings to suit you (and boost your battery life at the same time)

 

What does this mean? You can now adjust the maximum recording length of time your Video Doorbell records for when it detects motion. This helps you focus on the important moments and get to the action faster, without sifting through long videos. Plus, if your battery is draining faster than expected, you can extend its life by choosing a 15-second recording. 

 

You can choose from: 

  • 60 seconds 
  • 30 seconds
  • 15 seconds

Here's how: 

Go to your Sky Protect app > Video Doorbell > Settings (Cog icon) > Video recording settings > Clip recording settings > adjust to suit you.
