So just to update you guys, I submitted a question to the Sky Home Insurance underwriters regarding Robotic Lawnmowers and asked if they are covered when kept outside.
The reply I got was they are covered, but only while they are locked away in a shed or secure building.
So the very nature of a Robotic Lawnmower is to cut the grass at night or when you are out at work. Which means they are machines which are kept outdoors for 8 months a year.
They will cover it if it's locked away and then if that building is broken in to and it's stolen, But if it's outside and it's taken, then tuff you're on you're own, that also includes if it has a PIN enabled and tracker installed.
So just to advise Sky's Home Contents policy might not be for you if you want your Robotic Lawnmower covered while it's outside.
