general warning ,just had a cold call from a 01256 code ,saying i was a long time member of Sky and because lots of users are leaving sky ,ethy were giving me a 30% discount on my bill ,they only asked for my e mail and i did not feel right ,so i gave them the wrong one to see what would happen ,and they just passed me on to billing .I asked them how do i know you are actually a Sky operative ,and he went through how he had not asked for any bank details etc ,so i asked if he could tell me what package i had ,he stalled so i hung up .
he then called me back and said that we had got cut off for some reason ,i joked that it was a Sky mobile maybe he could explain ,at the point he questioned my parentage and hung up .Unfortunately it was a caller from Asia ,which is not unusual ,but when it come to accounts and stuff ,it tends to be scotland ,so be warned
