ipad and esim data plan

i'm wanting to purchase an ipad with an esim data plan but when i go through to ask for a new number as i want it separate from my phone number  it only gives me the option to decide later. 

so when i then click on decide later and go through it asks me if i want to change my number and provider over to sky but i want a new separate  number for the ipad. 

will the esim data plan come with a number?

im confused as its only giving me the  option to swap over

It should do but to be on the safe side I would call Sky to get this order placed so that they order you this esim.
