iPhone 18 Pro Max Data Plan

Hi all,

Ive currently got an iPhone 14 Pro Max and I am looking to upgrade to an iPhone 18 Pro Max. The only thing I am paying for currently is my data plan which is £18 p/m.

When I go through the process of purchasing an iPhone 18 Pro Max, it asks me do I need a data plan which will show discounted offers or I can have the option of saying no I don't need one. If I am to opt for one of the new discounted offers what are currently available, will my current data plan be cancelled?

You current data plan will not be cancelled as it would mean you would be paying for two of them unless you cancel this £18 one. A new plan will come with a new mobile number.

Hi Caesarome,

Thanks for your quick reply and help! I really appreciate it!

I'm presuming I can keep my old number by requesting a PAC code?

And also, is it best to cancel the current data plan as soon as I have placed the order on the new phone & data plan, or waiting until I have received it?

A pac code can only be used to move a number between different networks so can't be used to move a number between two Sky sims. The work around is to use a pac to move it to a PAYG network then back to the new Sky sim.

That is up to you, the plan itself can only be cancelled if you have had it for 12 months or more and by calling Sky on 150. Once cancelled the number is gone for good.
