iPhone 16e returned
I have returned the iPhone 16e but are being charged for it on my next bill

This does and can happen for one or two reasons:
Sky bills are generated 14 days before the billing date so once this has happened no changes are made on it like if an item has been returned or a package has been cancelled.
The company that handles return for Sky takes a few weeks to recliner and inspect the phone after which billing should be stopped.
