external mobile contract

Old sim card acctivated for short time on mobile account, when discussing with sky they refered to it as [EXTERNAL] mobile contract, can someone possibly explain what [EXTERNAL] means. Many thanks

What do you mean by it was activated for a short time as Sky sim comes with a 12 month contract so can't usually be cancelled before that year is up.

Is this via email?  (Usually such a tag alerts the sender that the mail has come from outside the company - a security measure to reduce data leakage)

It says it was activated on a certain day then cancelled about 6 weeks later.
