esim not installing

I received my iphone16 today and have spent all day trying to activate my esim for it. each time that i have tried to scan the qr code it states that there has been an error, and now it just tells me that the confirmation code is not valid anymore. I also cannot call up customer services due to not having any service due to the lack of esim.
