I purchased a Sim a few months ago and transported over my previous number. However, today when I've text a few people the number showing on their phone is the original number that came with the Sim and not the transported number ansd, therefore, they don't recognise that is's me texting them.

Is it Android or iphone?
On Android, within the messages app, press the icon in the top right corner, go to Message Settings, RCS Chats, then turn off RCS Chats. Now switch it back on. It can take a few minutes but the number should then update.
If not go into Message Settings again, go down to Advanced, then Phone Number and change the number if required.

Tried both of those suggestions. In the 1st one it's showing the old/incorrect number but in the Advanced it's showing the correct number.
