What happens to data already in my piggy bank when rules change on 1 April 2024

Best thing to do is to roll data to a sim every month,  even if you won't use it. The excess will then be added back to your piggy bank next month with a new data stamp.

How does this tie in with data over 3 years expiring (and being removed from your piggybank) though?

I'd love what your suggesting to be correct, but surely, if you do what you suggest the data would be valid forever (if not used up).

On the Sky Mobile Piggybank dashboard there is only so much history depth (2 years) and it’s not that informative.  How can I view/determine exactly when X amount of data that I have accumulated over time will expire. As a long standing customer I want to have exact detail on what they plan to take (in GB) and when they will take it from me.

E.G. you will lose X data on Y date.

Here's a quick tip, if you add data to your phone from the piggy bank and it is unused, it goes back into your piggy bank as a fresh start, so my advice is, if you wish to keep your data as a back up for longer than 12 months, spend 5 - 10 minutes each month topping up your sims as much as you can be bothered to do. I top up 3 sims every month from 20GB - 50gb, which allows me to have a buffer on my plan and also keeps my data rolling over 👍

So basically (as I have 2 SIMS) if I roll all my spare data onto my SIMS each month (and therefore leave my piggybank empty) I should see any unused amount go back into my piggybank.  I have around 120GB spare and we burn <1GB per month on each SIM but don't want to lose it.

Any unused data on both your sims will roll back to your piggybank on your billing date.

All you need to do is add your piggybank data to your sim/sims. You can add 5Gb at a time so can take a while if you have a lot (I just did it with 173Gb) but once it's on your sim/sims it will roll over at the end of the month & be safe for the next 12 months. 

Before it expires in 12 months time just top up your sims with it all again.

Now you can save all the data you want & it will never expire.

My data piggybank disappeared this month, and that's before the April 2025, so it was less than 12 months???

I've been rolling my data to the sim every month, and it's still disappeared so this didn't work for me.  I lost all my piggy bank data.

It has been in and out of my piggy bank every month.  Every month I roll all data to the sim. Then when it is put to the piggy bank I roll it again the next month.
