Waiting too long for a refund

So I'm a new sky costumer well let just say I wanted to be a costumer but sky cancelled my phone plan and now have me waiting over a week for refund that I need asap

@Tbizzy When did you speak to Sky? The reason I ask is that once actioned a refund usually takes between 3 and 5 working days which given the time of year could mean it takes longer due to the bank holidays.

I spoke to sky on the monday the 21st but your man I was on the phone to said he isn't the one that does it but it should be there monday is that true

Not our man. You aren’t contacting Sky here. This is a customer ▶️ customer discussion forum where we try to help other customers.

 

It sounds like you may have failed one of the required credit check(s). For a sim deal it’s just a soft credit check, for a device there’s also an enhanced check. See this link for Skys guidance ~

Monday was the 22nd not the 21st. Once you've contacted Sky the refund should be processed in 3-5 working days so with the bank holidays you are possibly looking at between Monday 29th and Wednesday 31st.

What did Sky say when you called on Tuesday? If you have failed one of the required credit check(s) upfront payment you’ve made should normally be refunded after about 14 days but recent posts suggest it’s taking a bit longer. You do need to call to chase this up.
