Voicemail forwarding active number
Around 6 months ago, both my wife and I who are both on sky contract sims had our phones glitch on the same night at the same time.
We then began to notice that everytime we made a call ,this message would appear.
" voice mail forwarding active"
The number in our voicemail settings was changed
(removed)
Under the settings in phone
The service provider is named - voicemail.
In call forwarding settings-Always forward it says "no number set.
Under forward when busy- "same number as above "
Forward when unanswered-
"Same number as above "
Forward when unreachable-
"Same number as above "
This was not the number set prior to the glitch, and we cannot change it to our prospective numbers , nor can it be disabled or updated.
Both our voicemails were switched off by sky at our request, so there shouldn't be any voicemail forwarding active notifications when we make calls.
Something is askew here.
I called sky and the engineer tried but couldn't change it either.
Since this happened we have both noticed an increase in potential fraud/scam calls , texts and emails NOT A COINCIDENCE!
I actually looked the number up on who called me. co.uk
And found it had been searched nearly 26,000 times.
All reports are similar to mine on this post " easily checked "
The most concerning thing is that sky whom my wife has been with, going on 11 years and me 3 ,is that nothing is being done, nor any help offered.
Now considering that we also have a sky TV subscription plus 2 phones ,both bought from sky and a monthly outgoing, higher than £80 / month , one would assume that help would be offered.
Does anyone else have this same problem?
I would have thought that under voicemail provider would be Sky not just voicemail.
Can anyone help me or even affirm, I'm not the only one.
