voice message icon on my galaxy S8 does not go away even when there is no new message

@Rob4038 Try the following to see if it clears the notification, go to settings > Apps > Phone > Storage > Clear Cache/Data

I've cleared the cache; left a new message and then deleted it, but new message icon still remians.

Any ither ideas please?
