Using my phone in Jamaica
I'm going out to Jamaica soon and was going to take my mobile , will this be covered on the passport at £2 per day or is there a higher charge

Hi @Holdie2003 no it's not covered. See page 10 on the link below. Bear in mind the data cost is per meg, not gig and is very expensive. To prevent high charges turn off roaming, mobile data and activate flight mode in your settings before leaving the UK, not when you arrive as that's to late. Then when you have free WiFi just turn on WiFi, nothing else.

Just as a reality check... It's £2,160 per GB. (Yes over two thousand pounds)

For reference, £2 per day roaming only applies to the EU/EEA and overseas territories of EU nations, plus the countries listed in bold below.
The vast majority of global destinations are 'rest of world' rate and consequently extremely expensive.
