Hi all,
off to Cyprus again next week. But this time Looking to use Google maps for walking around and in a hire car for navigation.
2pound roaming will be on( bargain I think actually) but will that include sufficient data for Google maps?
I don't think Google maps /GPS uses a huge amount of data , and I have a lot in my piggy bank I could rollover. But will I fall foul of the fair use rules?
any advice gratefully accepted.
Thanks.

I presume you're referring to the new fair useage policy?
Roaming using Roaming Passport Plus is now limited to 25GB per billing period.
From Skys own website...
When you roam using our Roaming Passport Plus, we consider that up to 25GB per billing period is a reasonable amount of data to use. If you exceed this amount, we'll assume that you're no longer using data in the way expected of a reasonable customer for periodic travel.
We may suspend your service, restrict your usage, or charge you for the data that you use in excess of these amounts (currently £2.50 per GB), and we'll let you know by SMS or email before we do so.

25GB is the most you can use before being hit by extra charges, you don't say how long you will be out there for ?

Hi @JWestLondon download the maps for Cyprus onto your Google maps whilst on WiFi in UK. You will then use very little data when using them abroad.
