Upgrade phone no service

Upgraded phone and data package. New phone came so put my old sky sim in like I've always done with a new upgrade and have had no service since. Sim and new data plan had been working in my old phone while I was waiting for the new phone to come. It's now been about 8 hours since I've switched the sims. Any suggestions?

You say you upgraded your data package, was this one this sim you already had or did you order a new sim ?

 

If on your original sim then have you sent the network settings to the phone from here:

 

Go to sky.com/networksettings (My Account > Mobile > Settings) and sign in with your Sky iD.
Select the mobile number or SIM name you're having trouble with.
Scroll to 'Resend network settings' and select Request settings.
Save the settings when your receive them and reboot your phone.

A new sim came with the phone but I can't remember ordering it. When I was on the phone to the advisor ordering the new phone and upgrading the data package he said that the data package would start working right away on the sim I already had, which was true as it continued to work for 3 days while i waited for the new phone to come. Last time i switched phones all i had to do was put my old sim into the phone and everything worked fine. 

I tried sending the network settings too but the notification won't come through?

Do you have another unlocked phone you could try the sim in to see if it then works ?

Just tried, doesnt work in another phone either eeek. Should I try the sim they sent me? It says I have a sim to activate on MySky app. Just wary of doing this as I want to keep my number

I wouldn't activate that new sim yet but I would find a way to call Sky so they can check that you original sim is still active and has not been cancelled.
