Upgrade and new plan

If I upgrade my phone and choose a new plan, keeping the same number, will the old plan I currently have automatically be cancelled? thanks😌

@Sammie2811  You need to ensure you upgrade the current sim/plan and not order a new plan as you won't be able to move the number from one sim to another.

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.

If you order a new plan then it comes with a new number when you activate it.   (And you'll be paying for both your old and new SIMs)

You cannot use a PAC code to transfer with a network.

There is a protracted workaround that requires you to transfer the number out of the network (thus cancelling the old SIM) and then porting to the new one.

Re: Upgrade and new plan

Thank you all for your quick response! So if I was on the my sky app and clicked upgrade this phone it would keep the same number and use the new plan that I select? Thanks.

No.

If you select a new data plan then it's an additional data plan.  (With new number and cost)

There should be an option like 'I do not need a dataplan'.

If you want a new dataplan with your current number then the only option is the protracted option I explained above.

It would only do this if you select the option to keep your number so that the data plan you select isapplied to the sim you already have, otherwise you could end up ordering another sim.
