If I pay the upfront cost of £46 for the iPhone 15 will I still have to pay the monthly bill within the same month or will it start the following month

So it is 3 days after activation or up to 13 days if paying by direct debit.

The £46 you paid will be taken off what you owe for the device across the length of your contract.
