Hi my sky mobile contract is ending soon I intend to purchase a new iPhone at that time I need to know if i can purchase the phone but without a data plan as I have unused data can I transfer that data to the new phone and use it till I need to buy a data plan ( I have approx 2.5 gb unused )

Simply use your existing SIM.
You should be able to order a phone and select the 'I do not need a dataplan' option.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@skygazzer To use any data from the piggy bank you need an active sim/data plan, lowering your current plan to the lowest available plan is the only thing you will be able to do.
If this is a second additonal device you still need sim/data plan for that to use any piggybank data.

Dataplan contracts do not end until you cancel them. The piggybank will be maintained whilst there's a least one remaining SIM on the account. If you cancel the last SIM on the account then the piggybank disappears.
To maintain the piggybank you need an active dataplan (with a monthly cost).
