Unable to replace my esim - stuck number port from O2 to Sky
I’m hoping someone can help. I recently ported my number from O2 to Sky Mobile, but the port appears to be stuck in a partial state.
I want to generate a new esim QR code to move the SIM to another phone, but the "send security code" is greyed out on the website and app.
Here’s a summary:
Timeline
- 12 Nov 2025, 17:31 - Order placed
- 13 Nov 2025, 02:36 - O2 email: “Transfer complete”
- 13 Nov 2025, 17:37 - Sky email: “You’re now up and running with Sky Mobile”
What IS working
- Sky eSIM is active in my phone and showing my ported number
- I can make and receive normal calls
- Mobile data works normally
- I can forward calls to 020 numbers only
What is NOT working
- I cannot forward calls to 0330 numbers (forwarding fails instantly)
- The Sky app under "switch to or from Sky" shows “You already have a number transfer in progress”
- I cannot "replace my eSIM" to move my SIM to another phone. After receiving and inputting the 2FA SMS, it displays quick security check with "send security code" greyed.
My conclusion
It appears to be a partial or incomplete port still open in Sky’s backend, preventing full routing and blocking eSIM management.
Will this resolve itself soon?
Any tips to get this fixed?
Thank you!

Re: Unable to replace my esim - stuck number port from O2 to Sky
Hi @pango80 these things normally do sort themselves out over a few days. If it's still the same on Monday then give sky a call on 150 so they can look into it for you.
