Unable to receive texts

I joined sky mobile a couiple of years ago and found out that I could not receive text messages, if anybody contacted me via text it went through to a different person, using a different number (on sky network).  I had a new sim and seemed to be working again but the issue has started again.
The person who my texts went to had an iphone, my friend who also has an iphone has just text me, I have not got the text and the message has gone through as an imessage, I ahve a samsung.
I am at my wits end with sky mobile, one issue after another,
