Unable to make or receve calls on my account
Monday morning my ability to call, recive calls, data and ability to text all stopped, on the iphone and the ipad. I checked my account to see why, had i missed a payment, nope bills paid and upto date, so i thought my sim had gone wonky so converted to a esim and that at first said not compatable, i was tareing my hair out at this point, so went to my sisters and borther in law rang sky for me, they said they send a sim card out to me and that should get me back up, anyway BIL got the e-sim to work and started to recive text again, yet i still could not do anythiong else, so back on phone and we now told theres a problem with the network in my area and all sky customers are affected, that didnt sound right, so BIL pulled out a sky sim he has on his account, one of them free calls and 100mb sims when you get a tablet or phone, so he took it out the tablet and into my now empty sim slot, calls and texts etc all work on this sim. He suspects its an account thing but sky keep fobbing us off while trying to upsell a iphone 15 plus if i send my iphone back, i just more or less paid it off and lets be honist theres another 3 years in the iphone 14 before the need to upgrade, there all the same every year with a minior feature that i dont use. All i want is my Provider to keep to their end of the contract we have.
I still cant call or text from my sims on my account, every so often a few notifcations come through but still cant do anything, this is with the ipad wifi turned off.
I'm now having to use a sim so i can call and text, its not my number though, got next to no data (5.1gb the whole of the piggy bank on his account) which is essential.as i a have a habit of misplaceing mine and find my is a life saver!
Please will someone look into why i cant call and just flip the button fix it. already bad enough I got to have a case review now with the DWP as i missed a telephone appontment, and could be hit with a sanction.

Re: Unable to make or receve calls on my account
As this is a customer helps customer forum we can't magically fix this for you I'm afraid.
Does any mast issues show here for you:
https://www.sky.com/help/servicestatus/mobile
If not then you will have to contact Sky, perhaps via social media as there are links at the bottom to their sites as the sim might have developed a fault so you would need a replacement to be sent out if this is what has happened.
If someone has helped you then please click on the LIKES button in their post.
If you need help please provide as much information as you can

No one here can look into it. In case you’re not aware you aren’t contacting Sky Customer Services on here. This is a customer led discussion forum where Sky customers are available to try to help other customers.
Has the replacement SIM card arrived yet that Sky arranged?

Re: Unable to make or receve calls on my account
I'm so glad I've seen this post. I have two Sky mobiles for my sons. Both received the same day and both transferred their old number without any issues. Both phones working fine for several months and then one day one phone just stopped working. No texts, no call, no network. Reported it to Sky over 4 weeks ago, they sent a replacement Sim which was never received so had to call again and then they sent another one which didn't change anything. Tried the Sim in the current phone, an old phone and my other son's phone and not working. Put another Sim in the 'faulty' phone and that didn't work but worked in its own phone. The issue got escalated 2 weeks ago. I've had two texts stating that they are looking into it but I can't respond to those texts. I've been on with the online advisors today for over 4 hours and I'm none the wiser. What is wrong with the phone? they can't answer that. Can a UK agent call me? they can't arrange for that. I've been asked to allow them 72 hours before contacting them again to follow up and carry on the online chat. To say I'm gobsmacked with Sky is an understatement. I'm embarrased for them. They came recommended by a friend but I can't wait to get back to Tesco Mobile.

Not quite. We try and help other customers if we can... (But there are limits)
