No ability to make calls or use data without wi fi tried all the troubleshooting guides, rang sky no blocks, cleaned the SIM card, reset network settings .............. 48 hours now with sky unable to fix it !!!

Yes I have, they told me they'd escalate the issue, not to keep calling as I would go down the list of priorities and that they'd monitor the phone for the next few days !!!!!!!!!!

That doesn't sound right to me so you might want to register a complaint:

Filled in a complaint form yesterday and still no contact have now send another complaint due to lack of action. Do I really have to cancel all my sky deals to get some attention been a customer for 13 years have 3 phones, tv and broadband with sky and am being completely ignored come of Sky get a grip
