Re: Unable to activate eSim
Same as others in this thread, getting pretty fed up not being able to make calls or received text. I was on the phone to sky for 1.5 hours yestetday. Transfered 3 times. Sky now blaming my old provider, o2. My response was how can that be when both you and o2 emailed me last wednesday to say my old number had transferred successfuly to my new Sky iphone air. He assured me my service woukd be working by 6pm today. I have no confidence it will work. What is happening Sky?? I have now been without phone or sms for 6 days. Guess what tbey will no doubt take my first payment on the 5th October without a problem?? How difficukt can it be to fix my problem?? If it is a technical probkem with esim, come ckean rather than fob me off

Re: Unable to activate eSim
My iPhone 17 air is now working from last night. No thanks to sky though who informed me yesterday that I should go into a sky mobile shop or an Apple shop as they could no longer assist. Anyway my solution came by way of a physical sim that sky posted to me. I had to put the physical sim in another phone, activate it, delete the eSIM from my iPhone 17 air that was not working. I was then able to obtain the two factor code on my other phones sms and transfer the physical sim to my iPhone 17airs eSIM. Bingo, solution and my iPhone air now working perfectly with my old phone number that I wanted to retain. Clearly a broken eSIM causing the problem. I had been without phone or sms for a week.

Re: Unable to activate eSim
It's not fixed. I have just been told that my problem is because you cannot activate a new eSIM in a non UK network. It's a shame it has taken than over a week to tell me this and that they couldn't explain why they deactivated the old sim if they couldn't activate the new one. Apparently I have to speak to the mobile team when I return! Terrible service

Re: Unable to activate eSim
Thats the world of contact centres for you. Reading from a script and no real expertise to resolve problems. I must have had 7 calls with sky over the week and going over the same fixes over and over again. When it works its great, when it fails its shocking. Im si glad mine mow wirks and no doubt i will now have 3 years if trouble free mibike service which us what you exoect. Good luck to all those still having problems, i wish you all the best. Try to keep calm, i must have lost 5 hours of my life i will never get back 🙂

Re: Unable to activate eSim
Thanks to this thread and the people contributing. Certainly helped me realise I am not going insane and not alone in trying to resolve our phone issues 🙂

Re: Unable to activate eSim
This is still not fixed for multiple people, including my daughter. She's now been unable to use her phone for well over a week as it fails to activate. Current status is that the phone has accepted the esim apparently, yet she has zero network coverage.
I don't know what else to do, or tell her for that matter. Trying to tell a 10 year old why Sky can't activate her SIM properly, or even phone us back after a week and a half is ridiculous.
Please can someone reopen this issue and investigate?

Re: Unable to activate eSim
It took me a few calls - I eventually got through to customer services. They worked out the only way around it was to cancel the SIM plans. Reorder them due to the 2 factor message problem. They were re ordered. I then had to wait 3 days for the number to be transfered over. The phone is now working. I mean it was a joke but at least it's sorted. I would recommend talking to the customer service department that I believe is in Scotland and not just a call center!!

Re: Unable to activate eSim
Thanks, although don't really feel I should have to phone yet again given they've promised me call backs twice already...
Really not impressed at all.
