Turning off parental control

I am trying to verify that I am indeed over 18, in order to remove the parental

controls on Sky, and be able to access my local cinema site to book tickets. But each time I enter my credit card details as verification as requested,the system rejects it.

Only a credit card will suffice (not a debit card). You can borrow a credit card if you haven't got one yourself, it doesn't have to be yours. The only other way is if you have signed a credit agreement with Sky, then they will already know you are 18 or over so if you call them on 150 they can deactivate this for you.

@Leanne207

Are you actually using a credit card as opposed to a debit card as the later would be rejected as anyone under 18 can have one of these. If it is a credit card you have then call Sky on 150 for help with this.

Debit Card is not a Credit Card even when it has MasterCard or Visa branding.  Banks issue debit cards on juvenile as well as adult accounts, and so they cannot be used for age verification: it's the format of the long number which identifies the card type to the Sky system.
