@Mr+TGrant Tunisia isn't covered by the £2 a day roaming passport, it falls under "rest of the world" and is very expensive,

Tunisia £4.32 per mb (Not GB)of Data, £4.68 per minute Calls to local or UK mobile and landline numbers, £2.10 per minute Receiving calls ,£0.72 per message Texts to local mobile numbers or to UK mobiles, £0.58 per Picture messages to UK mobiles.

@Mr+TGrant

For references you can check this here:

As you can see it is not included so if you are going to use your Sky sim you could well bit hit with quite a large bill as using mobile data is very expensive at £4.32 per megabyte (not gigabyte).:

£2 per day is EU/EEA, overseas territories of EU and EEA nations, and a bare handful of other international destinations (primarily USA/Canada, Australia/New Zealand and South Africa)

Personally I wouldn't connect to a local network at all.  You won't get any service unless you want to pay the high rates and by connecting you run the risk of incurring them...  e.g. incoming calls

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own even if you don't like the answers

Best to have all mobile data switched off.

You really don't want to attach to a cell mast without knowing it: at that cost per megabyte it's possible to run up a substantial bill very rapidly just on background apps.

Hi @Mr+TGrant  when I travel to a rest of the world destination I turn off roaming and mobile data before leaving the UK, if you wait until in the air or landed your phone will connect and incur charges. Once at my hotel I turn on WiFi and use that wherever possible.
