Trying to activate sky sim on a new non sky iphone

I have bought a new iPhone from Apple and inserted the sim from my old iPhone (bought from Sky now out of contract) but can't make or receive any calls on new phone. What have I done wrong and what do I have to do?

@Mydim  Did you activate the sim online through your account?

Another member had thye same issue and posted this as a fix:

So check your primary and travel settings and make sure the correct one is selected.
