Transferring data from one phone to another

I have a new iphone 15 pro and need to transfer the data from my old phone.  At what point do I remove the sim card and put into my new phone?

Hi @ALI+JC  moving the sim shouldn't affect moving data from one phone to another so anytime should be ok. I tend to put it in my new phone when I start the new phone setup.

Personally, I leave it in the old phone until fully transferred.  The SIM only allows a cellular connection.

 

But it doesn't really matter in which order...

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own even if you don't like the answers
