Trade in Value
Im sure in previous years sky will give me a trade in value before i do an actual upgrade and sign in to a new deal?
Looking into upgrading again and it reads now like i have to buy a new device and once its recieved i post my old phone back and they will give me a value for the old phone, is that correct?
Id like to know if my old phone clears my current contract before i commit to a new deal.

Re: Trade in Value
The process should be the same in that you should see a valuation online based on the information you have provided about the device's conditions where you can accept or reject it. Your device will be inspected when it has been returned which is why it is always worth taking another of photos from all angles so you can show what condition it was in prior to your returning it incase they then offer you a lower value for it for some reason.

Re: Trade in Value
But ive been through the whole process upton my signing up to a credit search and no where does it give me an option to get a value.
It does say at the top of the screen "Trade in your old device and get extra value after checkout" ... this implys to me that to get the value I need to check out with a new device.

Re: Trade in Value
Thanks, but I'm still confused by it all.. I'm probably best calling them tbh.
I'm on swap36 and been paying for 24 months already, but still have an outstanding balance of £200+ , do I need to pay that off first? If not, how do I find out the value they would give me for my phone?

Re: Trade in Value
I think you are best if calling as usually the value they give you will be used to pay off what you owe, so if the value is £200 then it would be paid off but if it is less then the difference is added to your next available bill.
