Too much data
When I bought a new mobile I was given 50+GB of data a month for a while. I now have 380GB of data and i only use 2 a month. I don't want anything in the piggybank offers and I am still buying 1GB a month. Virtual messenger does not understand this. Can I sell back some data as I am paying for something I don't need and no doubt at some point I will lose it all, like last year.

Re: Too much data
No, you can't sell it back. Data in the Piggybank has no monetary value except when using it towards a small discount for new mobile purchases.
Data now drops off after 12 months if not used or moved to a sim.

Re: Too much data
So if I move it to my SIM just as I'm about to lose it I will get it back the next month? I've got to time it just right.

Re: Too much data
Basically that's correct.
Data in your Piggybank used to last for 3 years. It's now 12 months. So now at each billing date any data over 12 months old is removed. Your bill would show this transaction.
Customers were made aware of this change in the April 2024 price change letters/emails but it came into effect in the summer of 2025 which may be why quite a few customers forgot it was going to happen.

1GB is currently £8pm. You could change the 'Mix' (data plan) down to the lowest plan of 100MB for £5pm. You then move sufficient data from the Piggybank to the sim to last you the month.
See this link

Increasing the data plan happens almost immediately.
Decreasing the data plan happens at the start of your next billing period.

Re: Too much data
Thank you. I'm currently paying £5pm for 1gb. I've got enough spare data to last me more than 10 years 😂, but it appears that I can't use it without buying something that I don't want. I'm trying to save money not waste it and that is not an option.
