Swapped phone, been charged for both

I have swapped to a cheaper iPhone, I had nothing left to pay off for the iPhone, balance was £0 but I have been charged this month for both phone, I would like a refund on the phone I swapped it with

Something doesn't add up here?  You cannot swap a phone if it's fully paid off?  (It's basically yours)

Otherwise, swap returns take around 2-4 weeks to be processed and billing continues as normal during this period.  Any 'overpayment' would be credit and used to reduce future bills.
