Timeframe for Number Porting to Sky Mobile

I recently signed up for a Sky Mobile plan and would like to know how long it will take for my number from my previous operator to be transferred to Sky.

Usually it should take place within the next few working days so when did you give Sky your pac code ?

Hi @GilPaulo  porting takes place the next working day after sky receive the PAC. Porting doesn't happen at weekends so if the code is given on a Friday it would be Monday at the earliest.

@GilPaulo  I recent ported a number to Sky recently during a weekday, as posted it takes 1 working day so for me it was next day, you will be informed by text when the port is in progresss and when it's due to complete.

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.

The only thing I did was fill in the information on the website, then I received a code to confirm it, and that’s it. After that, I haven’t had any updates — it’s been three days since I did this process and I’m still waiting. On Sky’s website, there’s no information about whether it’s being processed or if it’s OK, but I’ve already activated the eSIM on my device, although it shows a different number than mine.

Just to confirm @GilPaulo you requested and received a PAC from your old network and gave that to sky ?

As above,

I joined Sky Mobile this week.

I did my activation of sim and put in the PAC code on Tuesday via the MySky app.

Had text and email straight away to say it would happen the next day.

The next day it started the transfer early morning and was complete later in the morning, with a text and email to say it was all complete.

 

Also check your track orders in MySky.

It will show if the sim activation is progressing, will say 'In progress' if it's activating or transferring over a number and say 'Complete' when done.
