You cannot use a PAC within a network.

Assuming the dataplan is not subject to any minimum term* then the only option is to activate the new dataplan and then port the number OUT of the network and then back in again to the new SIM.

* if the recent price increase is being applied then you can leave no matter without early termination

Hi @Df32  if you have had your original sim less than 12 months you can't close it without penalty. If you have had it more than 12 months you would need to port it to another network on PAYG then port back to the new sim. Can't port from sky to sky direct.

Re: Swapping sim conract

I thought my current sim only was monthly as been out of contract for some months

Maybe best to leave as is and cancel new sim

Your thoughts?

If you are out of contract one the sim you want to cancel then you can call Sky to cancel it or just move the number to a PAYG network then back again to the new sim.

If your old sim is out of contract then you can switch to the new one by the method described @Df32

If you don't activate it then it will fall off your account after a month and you won't be charged.

(You'll still have your existing dataplan if you take no other action)

If not activated @Df32 then it will drop off your account, no need to cancel.
