My iPhone 16 has suddenly started to rapidly burn through mobile data since it updated itself to iOS 26 a couple of weeks ago.
Most of the time, I'm using Wifi, but if I go out and about I'll get the message from Sky ("you've nearly used all your data") after just a few minutes. I'll roll another 1 GB or 2GB from my piggybank and then a few minutes later it will have burned through that too.
I've changed a bunch of settings - eg turning off Wifi assist, turning off mobile data for any apps that might use a lot of data - but the problem persists.
Any idea what's going on - never had this problem prior to iOS 26, so I guess there's a bug... only seems to affect phones on Sky/O2 though; so maybe a problem between the iOS 26 update and the carrier settings in some way?
