@Osasogie  Your post isn't very clear, are you saying you are being charged for text from this number?  If so the subscriber needs to send a STOP message to the number to stop these texts, Sky cannot do it for you.

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.

Hi @Podestas  it's up to you to get this stopped, sky won't do anything because of a post on a forum. If you look at first page of this thread there is a link that you can use to find the details of the company involved and you then need to contact them to get them to stop and issue any refund that may be due.

If someone has helped give them a thumbs up.

If their answer solved your issue mark it as the correct answer.

I won’t respond to direct messages so please post any problems on the forum.

If you read the ppsts in the this thread ann relevant informatuon has been posted on how to stop these texts.

I don't recall threats to stop your services as being an effective way to stop the texts though.

Re: Stopping premium text 88222

I have also been affected by this scam involving 88222. For the last 3 weeks they have cost me £1.50 per message = £23 in total. I have never noticed a message from them. When I saw my itemised Sky bill it showed a £1.50 premium message charge every 2 or 3 days at exactly the same time, 09.24. I contacted sky and they placed a zero cap on my account, lets see if that helps. They also advised sending a new sim card. Overall, the lady at sky was very helpful, but unable to refund.

@Edikas+Gestautas
This is primarily a customer helps customer forum so you aren’t addressing Sky Customer Services here. Try sending  STOP via text to the number, that should stop any further texts.

Re: Stopping premium text 88222

Last night I scanned the new ITVX  QR code to register with my iPhone and was immediately linked through to the premium text scam site  Stripey Giraffe and have already been charged for four texts at £1.50 a pop.  Have texted STOP to the 88222 number and asked Sky to set my spend cap to 0.  However internet searches suggests this may not stop it. Has anyone else experienced difficulty stopping this site senspding messages.  Alison beware when scanning any QR codes on Sky.

Re: Stopping premium text 88222

My daughter has been receiving texts from this company every night at the same time, so it's an automated service.  I have text stop three times, but the texts still keep coming at a rate of £1.50 per text ... it's ridiculous as I can't stop them and sky won't do anything to help

any suggestions?

Re: Stopping premium text 88222

All of the links on the page people have recommended are broken and the pages no longer exist.  I went to the website as STOP didn't work but they haven't replied

Re: Stopping premium text 88222

I've constantly been receiving out of plan texts from 88222 at a cost of £1.50 each!  Finally managed to stop them. I called sky mobile on an 0800 number and spoke to a very helpful young lady who did the biz.

I've managed to block the number and got a refund for the cost of all texts.

Hi @GRANDMA+JUNE  from seeing this issue previously on sky and other networks it's an inadvertent click on a link in a webpage/facebook link etc. It's not just sky. Always be very wary on what you click on when browsing.
