Spend caps

Your website states I can put a spend cap on to use whilst abroad. It also states it won't be activated unless I make a call or use Mms. But you always tell you have activated by texting me . Than seems a breach of contact

Hi @JFU  receiving text messages doesn't trigger any charges.

@JFU
I've moved your post to the Mobile board which is more appropriate.

If you’re not already aware the Sky Community is a customer led discussion forum where Sky customers are available to help other customers and you aren’t contacting Sky Customer Services.

Theres no breach of contract for the reason outlined by @63johnw

@JFU
Calls to Sky will initially be automated which may try to send you here to the forum, offer you online help or offer to send you a text. Stay on the line as long as possible and saying nothing when asked the reason for the call sometimes helps being put in the queue for an agent.

The tariff states, "It will be automatically activated and added to your account when you make a call, send a text or use more than 10MB of data a day".

10MB of data is virtually nothing and could be triggered by modern smartphone data chatter even if you do 'nothing'.

Re: Spend caps

You answered my question. If I make a call or text 10mb data . I don't use data. But every time I put money on the pending cap .I get an immediate text from sky that have activated it for 24 hours. I haven't made a call or text.  So it's a ripoff

I'm not sure how you've come to that conclusion?  Either you, or your device, are triggering the passport or not?
