SkyMac

I have received my Macbook air with a sim card. I wanted to activate the sim but I do not have an extra phone once it is activated. Is there anyway for that new sim to be used solely for macbook?

Yeah, it's rather strange they send a SIM.  You can't use it without purchasing a WiFi dongle or putting it in an existing phone etc.

If you don't activate it then it will just fall off your account and won't be charged.

Re: SkyMac

I really thought there is an app so that it can be used for Macbook but I guess I can just request an Esim instead. Iphone can have 2 numbers of a sim, one from physical and another from esim.

Since it is a free sim, I just want to earn the data if not used and save it on my piggy bank of data.

Mac's do not have any cellular hardware.

As I said, you can purchase a dongle that can take the SIM.
