Sky swap

Hi everyone,

I’m considering getting a new phone on contract and came across Sky Mobile’s Swap program, but I’m a bit confused about how it works.

For example, if I get the iPhone 16 on a 36-month contract and then decide to upgrade to a newer model after 2 years, how does that work? If the valuation of the iPhone 16 covers the remaining balance and it’s fully paid off, will my previous plan reset to another 36-month contract for the upgraded phone?

Also, what’s the point of sending your old device back if you’re just going to end up paying another £1000+ for the new phone anyway?

Thanks in advance for your help!

It's simply a purchase scheme with an option to restart a contract...

For example a swap24 would expect you to either swap the phone at 2 years or pay for 3 years to own it outright.

At 2 years the residual value should be around the outstanding credit to allow you to start all over again.

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own even if you don't like the answers
