Sky mobile sim help

I recently bought two new phones through sky.com online, both with 40gb of data. I rang sky up on the 15th to actiavte both sim cards with PAC numbers from orevious providers.  both worked and went through. the next day we decided to cancel one of the 40gb sim to go bsck to one of our provides being EE. when cancelling the sim we were told this was cancelled but the number from EE never came through, after ringing EE they said that the number had went through because on their end it said it was pending (porting) after ringing sky mutiple times they couldnt find this number anywhere and were adiment that they didnt have and never had taken this number. fast forward to the 17th they said i hadnt cqancelled the pac code jsut the sim card whihc is something different again so i canlled that and said i want the number back again they couldnt find the number and still to today the 18th they cant find this number that was trasnferred over to EE but i know SKy have it as EE can see on their system it is locked and prorted across to Sky British LTD. i was suppose to get a call back from porting team today 18th but havent im currently on hold and being passed from person to person as they dont knwo how to help or what to do. can someone please help , who do i speak to what do i do for this lost number!!

@Leahb3

If you cancelled this number then it can not be moved to a different network so when you phoned up Sky was it actually cancelled straight away or is it something like 31 days notice you need to give to have it cancelled. If you wanted to move the number back to EE rather than cancelling you should have requested a pac code for it.
