Sim deal

I already have a SIM card with sky but want to take up a new deal. Do they have to send me a new sim or can I carry on sing sim already in my phone. I bought the phones through sky but have paid for the handset and just pay for my sim monthly.  It's just that the deal for sim only being offered at moment is cheaper than my current one for exactly the same. Never just changed sim and am worried I will lose my phone number. Also do sky automatically cancel the old sim contract.

if anyone can help a pensioner I would be really grateful.🙏

If you activate the new sim then you will be paying for a second one as it is not possible to use a pac code to move a number in the same network.

You could either use the sim you have or if you want to transfer the number you have to the new sim then you would need to use a Pac code to transfer your current sim number to a PAYG network and then use another pac code you get from them to transfer it back to your new Sky sim.

Re: Sim deal

So are you saying the new cheaper deal will go on the old sim and I just have to cancel my payments for the old deal?

If you have had your current sim for 12 months or more then you can call Sky on 150 to cancel it but the number will then be lost as you will have a new number when you activate the new sim on the new offer.

can't understand why have to go through all that as deal is exactly the same just cheaper.

Shame been with sky 15 years.
